For the first time in company history, TNA will begin to provide taped specials for On-Demand customers, similar to WWE’s DVD documentaries. The specials will run in one month intervals.
The first special is titled “TNA Wrestling Knockouts: Mad Sexy Volume 1.”
The special will be hosted by Christy Hemme. It will feature TNA Knockouts bouts featuring Angelina Love, Velvet Sky & former TNA star Gail Kim, who left the company for WWE.
So, a few weeks after the so called Diva’s Summer Swimsuit Spectacular, all photographed in front of white backgrounds while the girls pretended to be at the beach. We finally get shots taken outside on an actual beach. Why couldnt this have been the swimsuit spectacular? Why couldnt they get all the other Diva’s to the beach? Is there any logic to WWE photoshoots? Who invented liquid soap and why?
This and many other questions circulate when referring to Diva photoshoots. But here we go, backon the beach we saw Eve languishing upon yesterday, we now find Natalya soaking up the sun in pretty pink. Thank God it isnt green, that’s all I’ve got to say. Natalya looks gorgeous, I much prefer this color on her. I find green to be too harsh for her complexion. This bright pink softens her look overall, making her look curvy instead of chunky. I love the print on the bikini too, had it been all solid pink I think again it would have been too much. The white ‘tiger stripes’ once again soften the coloring overall and as I said.. softens her look, which is a good thing.
Makeup is wonderfully natural, barely there. Again, when it comes to Natalya less is more, she has a habit of packing on the makeup when she doesn’t need it,just highlighting her eyes is quite enough. Her other features are strong enough as they are, when she packs on the color it can make her face look our of proportion.
Overall, she nails the beach babe look beautifully. And it’s so nice to see them outside in front of something other than a plain background! More please!
There was much action this week on Raw and I felt it was more a “lets get this done and over with” feel to the match. Lay-Cool’s offer shocked me and at the same time disappointed me. I don’t like the idea of the two titles unifying but I guess it’s for the best. This is going to make competition for the unified title difficult and some Divas may never taste the gold. Clever way of killing off half of the entire Divas Division, ehh?
The match comes off from a commercial break as Lay-Cool is shown getting ready for their match against the Divas Champion Melina and Eve Torres. Melina music hits and she receives a decent pop. The bell rings and McCool and Melina starts the bout off. Layla attempts to distracted Melina by calling her “Lady Wha wha”. McCool goes for the clothesline but Melina easily dodges. Melina mounts McCool repeatedly, then strikes Layla causing her to fall of the ring apron. McCool gets the upper hand and applies a Belly to Belly slam. She goes for the pin but Melina kicks out at a count of one. McCools grabs Melina by the hair and pulls her over to Layla, which Layla is tagged in.
Once in the ring, Layla applies a facecrusher to Melina. Layla mounts Melina, pulls her up and then applies a Snapmare. Layla feeling confident, continues her assault and attempts to tag in McCool. Melina gains the upper hand by pushing Layla into McCool, causing her to fall off the apron. Shocked, Layla in rolled up. A count of three and Melina wins the match. Lay-Cool are beyond enraged. Lay-Cool then informs Melina that there is only “One” champion in the WWE. At Night of Champions, there will be a unification match in which the Divas title and the Women’s Championship will be merged together.
All those weeks of skipping are paying off as Joey un-inserts his head from his backside and delivers us the shoot that was advertised on WWE.com last week but never materialized. Well, better late than never huh! Rosa looks sensational despite it being ‘just’ a ring gear shoot. In fact, I’m not sure we can even call this ring gear, it looks more like a training outfit. Whatever it is I love it, the bold yellow on black could serve to make her look like an oversized bumblebee, but it doesn’t. The structured lines make her body look incredible without showing any of it off, quite an impressive feat.
I love the poses, playful and new. Borrowing from her evidently rigorous training regime, she’s mixed fitness with fierceness and it’s working for her. Hair and makeup is the usual Rosa fare, strong, but she can take it. The hair is beautiful, at first I didn’t like the idea of this girl with blonde hair, but over time I’ve really grown to like it. The soft golden waves frame her face and soften the harsh, strong makeup. She has a look that shouldn’t work, but somehow it does.
Yep, definitely better late than never. This is actually one of my favorite Rosa shoots. How bout that!

TNA Knockouts The Beautiful People have been making headlines all over the internet recently, partly for good reasons but also, unfortunately for bad. On the good side of the coin ProWrestling.net reports that the highly anticipated reunion of the original Beautiful People, Angelina Love and Velvet Sky, drew the highest rated segment on the show. Ang and Vel-Vel, as well as Madison Rayne, all cut extremely strong promos on last week’s show followed be an equally exciting catfight. The move obviously paid off as the segment scored a 1.15 in the quarter hour breakdown.
Go team! However, this good news was somewhat soured by the antics of the blonde bombshells away from the ring. It would seem as though their vendetta against WWE duo LayCool hasnt simmered down any since the last time they called them out in public. This time, Angelina and Velvet took a shot on post Impact show, ReAction!
Love said during the pseudo-shoot program, “We created a group that has been like no other for women in professional wrestling. People have tried to be like this. People wanted to join us. No can do.”
Sky added, “And for all you wannabe Beautiful People girls out there… you know exactly who I’m talking about, get a life. You will never be us.”
Angelina then cryptically noted, “And you’re not cool by the way. You’re not cool.”
Challenging words indeed. This isn’t the first time The Beautiful People have called out LayCool. Both have directed similar remarks towards them before, with Love recently stating the on her Facebook account while watching television: “So this is what I get for quickly flipping thru the channels on a friday night……a blonde & a brunette blatantly ripping something off……..BRUTAL!!!”
You know how yesterday I said Eve had found the ugliest bikini known to mankind? Well today The Bella Twins unveil the ugliest swimsuits known to mankind. There, our collection is complete. Borrowing from the oldschool 50′s look that involved covering up everything that made a female feminine, but showed just enough to let you know that they are indeed actually female, these swimsuits needed to be left where they belonged. On the shelf of whatever uglyass swimsuit store it was that they raided.
Alright, so it’s not entirely their fault. After all the WWE has made the absurd decision to enforce their ‘everything must be PG’ rule by taking away the bikinis from the girls on the live shows and replacing them with one piece bathing suits. I suppose it would make sense, if they were actually consistent. “Heres an idea, lets put all the girls in one pieces that reveal nothing, because that’ll be nice and safe for the kiddies and parents at home, BUT, lets put them all in ultra revealing bikinis on WWE.com now and then, for the net nerds, you know.”
No. I’m not buying it. There’s no excuse for this uglyness and the WWE should be ashamed of themselves forcing these beautiful women into shapeless sacks and parading them around like Grandma on a golden oldie holiday. For what it’s worth, though, despite the awful bathing suits both of the girls look, as ever, beautiful. They just know how to work it and when given the right opportunities can actually make up some of the most interesting photoshoots of the group. This sadly, is not one of them. They look lovely, but overall this just needs to be forgotten. Bring back the bikinis I say!
Preview: Title Unification Match at Night of Champions
In what will no doubt be one of the most unique (or should we say “flawless?”) bouts at Night of Champions, Divas Champion Melina will face one half of the self-proclaimed “Co-Women’s Champions,” Team Lay-Cool, in a match that will unify the Women’s and Divas titles – a feat of such magnitude that every WWEDiva will be at ringside to witness it.
Returning from injury to capture the Divas Championship at SummerSlam, Melina has every reason to be in a celebratory mood these days. However, SmackDown’s resident “mean girls,” Michelle McCool & Layla, have bullied the Latina lovely over the past several weeks with a series of verbal and physical assaults. When Team Lay-Cool revealed they had a surprise in store for Melina on Raw’s 900th episode celebration, the Divas Champ was justifiably skeptical.
WWE confirmed that Tiffany has been pulled from the road in the wake of her arrest.
Tiffany was arrested earlier this month following a domestic incident with husband and fellow WWE performer Drew McIntyre, and a WWE spokesperson told the Scottish outlet that the Diva, real name Taryn Terrell, will be off the road while the situation is investigated.
“Taryn has been kept off the shows to give the authorities the required time to investigate,” said the spokesperson. “The bosses see it primarily as a personal issue, but they have to keep a close eye on the legal proceedings.”
Confirming what was reported earlier, WWE’s current stance is that if Tiffany manages to escape any charges, she will likely be welcomed back into the fold.
The spokesperson clarified, “If she is not charged with any wrongdoing, she will be welcomed back.”
Husband Drew McIntyre had previously told the media that he believes the situation was a misunderstanding.
According to insiders the WWE has signed a very interesting new Diva to their roster, read on.
- There are rumors that WWE has signed or is close to signing female independent wrestler Isis The Amazon to a developmental deal. Isis is 6 foot 9 inches and besides indy wrestling, has done some modeling and acting work. Isis also has participated in a week-long evaluation at WWE’s FCW developmental territory.
Isis has been in attendance at as many as two WWE developmental shows this month. A fan in attendance at this week’s show in Fort Myers, Florida says Isis had to ask FCW officials if it was okay to take photos with fans. To put Isis into perspective, she is just a few inches shorter than Big Show.
